Sound work based on environmental data, 2021.
The Meadow is the acoustic translation of the complexity and changeability of a structure into sound. Current environmental data is recorded by various sensors installed on site and their relationship to each other is evaluated. The recorded data is transferred into sound patterns, which are reunited to form a polyphonic composition. Soil and air humidity, temperature, solar radiation, movement, air pressure and CO2 concentration are recorded by sensors and transformed into voices in a polyphonic soundscape. The timbre of the continuously self-composing soundscape changes with the air pressure, and the concentration of moisture in the soil changes the density and weight of the bass track
